Prospective counsellors should be in their final year of training or qualified and have an interest in older people. Ideally they will have some placement experience already. Group supervision is provided on Tuesday. Need to be a member of BACP and offer sufficient time to see 3 clients per week, plus travel time (clients seen in own homes) and admin tasks.

We work with children and young people ages 11-25yrs in Brighton & Hove, Sussex and West Surrey. Honorary Counsellors practise in Secondary schools, 6th Form Colleges and in Community settings. We offer free counselling for young people aged 14-24 in east and mid Surrey. We work at venues in Redhill, Reigate, Merstham, Oxted, Horley, Tadworth, Leatherhead and Dorking. We have a team of around 25 volunteer counsellors who offer 3-6 hours counselling per week.

The placement would be suitable for a 2nd year trainee working from a psychodynamic model.
Supervision is provided. The trainee would engage in counselling with women around issues to do with sexual health such as sexual abuse, pregnancy etc. This is time limited up to 40 sessions.
